All Weather Protection

Canadian RCMP and Dept. of Fisheries ZH 733 OB Cabin RIB

Keeping the crew safe, comfortable and efficient are key values in our maritime response statement and our Cabin Ribs originate from customers whose duties include lengthy patrols in often inhospitable environments. Safety handles and ventilation are of paramount importance. We often fit air conditioning, efficient demisting and heating systems in our cabins as well as dual operating positions. Capable of being powered by single or dual inboard or outboard engines and available either with GRP or aluminum hulls, Zodiac Cabin Ribs can also be fitted with a variety of shock mitigation devices and ergonomic layouts with full lateral and vertical vistas. Some of them are self-righting. Our customers ever evolving needs help us to remain in the forefront of innovation in this category.

ZH 590

The 590 was our first ever cabin boat and is still in the Naval supply systems. It is a "cuddy" cabin design, which only allows the crew to operate the boat from outside whilst being protected from the wind and spray by the windshield and cabin structure. Available only as outboard powered, the 590 Cabin is built in GRP and offers secure dry storage.

The aluminum 920 and 1000 Cabin Ribs are gaining more and more acceptance as Patrol craft that are seaworthy, safe, maneuverable and economical to maintain and operate. Both sizes have had various engine configurations; even fire fighting monitors being connected to the waterjets on some. More and more major procurements are being planned around Cabin Ribs of this size and the Zodiac 9 and 10 meter models have proven credentials.

The 1400 is built as a dual diesel waterjet powered Coastguard Search and Rescue craft in North America's Great Lakes. It has been in continual service since 1986.
